With more than 50 years of experience in international development, focused on entrepreneurship, job creation, economic development, technology transfer and innovation.
Ken Robertson | Canada
Professional in environmental management and community development. Ken co-founded the Light Up The World Foundation and was a pioneer in the development of solid-state lighting along with photovoltaic solar energy systems, micro-hydroelectric, and other energy systems for villages.
Brigitte Trescher | Canada
Geoscientist with experience in the energy industry, in Canada and internationally. She has also been involved in consulting projects for carbon capture and geothermal energy.
She lived and worked with a Kichwa Amazonian community and association in Ecuador, learning about sustainable agriculture and social entrepreneurship to improve income generation for Amazonian cultures.
David Lansdale | Ecuador
David, originally from Greece, moved to Ecuador in 2003 after studying in the US. At Universidad San Francisco de Quito, he taught entrepreneurship and administration. In 2013, he co-founded the Beyond Chacay Foundation, promoting Smart Destinations and capacity building. Supported by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, he launched Galapagos Red Educativa (GRECO) in the Galapagos Islands. Since 2022, he has collaborated with AMEAIK and COICA to empower indigenous women entrepreneurs in the Amazon Cuenca. Dr. Lansdale advocates for sustainable community development through collaboration.
Steve O'Gorman | Canada
He has over 40 years of experience in system design and business development, specializing in automation and information management solutions for energy industries. He's also an advocate for sustainable development, particularly in solar lighting solutions and community engagement for global energy access. He is the owner of STAR Energy Solutions Inc, a company focused on the development of innovative sustainable solutions for energy, food security, and climate resilience.
Rodolfo Peon Anaya | Mexico
Electronics Engineer graduated from the Technological Institute of Hermosillo (ITH), with over 20 years of experience in solar energy projects, totaling over 1 MW of installed capacity. As a member of the Hermosillo Solar Platform laboratory, he actively works on researching, evaluating, and developing comprehensive solutions to ensure water, energy, and food security in vulnerable communities, both in remote areas and urban settlements.
Martha Hurtado | Ecuador
She brings extensive practical experience, showing a track record in designing and delivering impactful training programs. Our trainers specialize in imparting practical skills and knowledge that directly contribute to individual and organizational growth.
Max Crespo | Argentina
Managing partner of HRC, an independent consulting firm with 25 years of experience and operations in the Hispanic communities of the United States and Latin America. HRC is known, among other capabilities, for its expertise in Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG). Max has led international and multilingual projects with local impact.
Cecilia Vilchis | Mexico
Experience leading hemispheric projects and competencies, entrepreneurship, and youth citizen participation within the framework of the Summit of the Americas and the OAS General Assemblies. I work in NGOs to promote economic and social development.
Lizeth Castilla | Peru
As an anthropologist and gender specialist, she possesses extensive experience in soft skills, training, mentoring, and coaching. Her work spans nationally and internationally, focusing on strengthening capacities for vulnerable populations across various projects. She has particularly mentored indigenous women in the Amazon, emphasizing project execution and leadership empowerment, aiming to achieve gender equity.
